Windows Vista: Can't add a program to exception list of DEP(Data Execute Protection)?

You can turn off the advanced security warnings, I done it when I had vista and it solved some of my problems. You still have security, it just doesn't warn you everytime you click or try to run something or not allow you to do something... I can't remember how to do it anymore but you can look it up.
