Telescope buying help????

Certainly filters are used for visual observing. Coloured filters are used to bring out different aspects of the planets, though personally I prefer the unfiltered view. Nebula filters are very useful for bringing out faint emission and planetary nebulae and details within them. Dense filters are essential for viewing the Sun; these must be large enough to cover the entire front of the telescope.
