Wifi desperation - Please help!?

My dad owns the "master" computer and I own a computer and a netbook. An ex friend of his messed with his computer and we don't know the "master pword/security code" to access it to allow wifi. I own a router but it needs to be connected to the main computer. Is there any way to for me to hook up my router to get wifi?? (Reset pword, buy another device, etc.??) Any help would be greatly appreciated! I would love to be able to use my netbook at home finally!
