A question about the t-mobile sidekick..?

Ok i have a old sidekick its the one before the sidekick 2008 i think it is called a danger. Now it broke like yr ago so i am using a unlocked att blackjack 2. So now that the new sidekick 2009 is out i would really like to get it but i dont want to cough up $479.00. I know i heard of people calling and telling them hey i have my old phone and its broke i would like to upgrade and it would be not so expensive along those line... Does anyone have any suggestions or anything. I have already tried ebay and amazon and they are all the same price which is TOO MUCH!
